Plans and limits
What Free includes
Two things are metered on a rolling window — marked essays and Coach messages — because they cost a model call every time they run. Reading and Listening practice are capped a different way: a fixed number of tests to try each module on, then Pro, with no reset. Speaking practice is closed on Free — but you get one Speaking assessment inside the diagnostic.

The Reading and Listening caps are a lifetime count, not a weekly ration — each test you start counts against the 5, and the number does not come back. The catalogue past that point stays visible on the practice pages, greyed out, so you can see what Pro opens. Lessons and guides stay unlimited: they are the technique you read before you practise, not the practice itself.
The window is rolling
The 7-day window rolls; it is not a calendar week resetting on Mondays. Your meter always shows the exact day yours resets — "Thursday" while that is unambiguous, a date once it is not.
What Pro changes
Unlimited essay marking, unlimited Coach, your full band history on Progress, retaking the diagnostic, full four-skill mock tests — one a week, on a rolling window — and Speaking practice — the whole module, not just the one assessment the diagnostic gives you.
Prices change, so they are not written here. They are on the pricing section of the Bandzen site, which is where they are kept up to date. The upgrade page personalises its pitch with the days left to your test date if you gave one.
Cancelling
You keep the period you paid for
Cancelling does not end your access. It stops the renewal. Pro runs to the end of the period already paid for, and then you are on Free.
After that: 2 essay marks and 10 Coach messages a week, your band history goes back to the last 5 attempts, Speaking practice and mock tests close, and Reading and Listening return to the Free cap of 5 tests each — counted across everything you have ever started, so if you were already past that on Free before upgrading, those modules are closed until you renew. Lessons and guides stay unlimited.
A failed payment is not an instant cutoff. Access is decided by the date your period runs to, and a failed renewal simply does not extend it — so the retry window is a grace period at no cost to you.
Refunds are available within 7 days.
