Getting access
The CMS is where passages, questions, writing prompts, lessons and guides are written and published. It is a separate site from the product, with its own address, and it exists so content can change without a developer.
The two roles

There is no third role and no per-section permission. A teacher has the same reach over content as an admin — the only screen a teacher cannot open is the one that hands out roles.
Getting a role
Two steps, in this order:
- Sign up first. A role is attached to an account that already exists, so an admin cannot grant you one before you have signed up.
- An admin grants it by entering your email on the Teachers screen.
If your email is not found, it means the account does not exist yet — check which address you signed up with.
If you see "This account cannot edit content"
You are signed in, and the account you are signed in as has no CMS role.
The usual cause is the wrong account
The CMS and the product share one sign-in. If you use Bandzen as a candidate as well, you may be signed in on your candidate account. Sign out and back in on the account that has the role — the page offers sign out first for exactly this reason, and the footer shows which account you are on.
If it really is the right account, ask an admin to grant you the teacher role.
The page is a dead end by design: it does not redirect you anywhere, because every other page in the CMS is behind the same check, and bouncing you between them would be a loop rather than a fix.
